Hi any idea what this is under bonnet of my def 90 300tdi?

It’s the wire with the red plastic end

It’s a blank/cover for the connector to it does not fill with water or mud

The loom will be the same for LH/RH drive cars they just bank the ones not needed off
Look the other side of the engine bay to see what is close. This may help
