    Uneven running

Depends if he's using diagnostics to look at it I think. Using Lynx mine shows a range of 0-1 even though I'm using the 5v GEMS type o2 sensors. I think we established on the other thread that Nanocom was the same. Obviously if you've changed them yourself check they are the correct type.

I hear it inside the car, can't hear anything outside.

    Air Con Hissing

One pipe is hot coming from the compressor is hot and one is cold. Don't have anything to measure the temperature properly if that's what you wanted me to do :(

    Air Con Hissing

I got the air conditioning recharged around July and it worked but gradually the effectiveness got worse so I obviously have a leak somewhere. I'm guessing condenser but I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet. The air conditioning now still operates but I get a constant hissing sound when...

    Considering selling up :(

I'm on 150k on the original engine, not all are bad.

I've never needed to calibrate mine after replacing blend motors.

EDC Coverage Listing P38 Systems That's everything the Nanocom covers for the diesel ECU and the rest of the P38 systems, so you can compare that to what mine can do.

It seems to cover pretty much everything I need. One thing it doesn't do is calibrate blend motors, but I'm not sure why you would need that anyway. I've replaced mine twice now and while replacing them I ran them to the end of the stop by accident and put them back in with the cogs not aligned...

About £300 for Lynx including VAT from Island 4x4. Nanocom is ~£350 last I looked. Both are far too high for an 18 year old car in my opinion but there's no other choice as far as I'm aware. It's a piece of software that runs on your computer but it talks to a piece of hardware over USB that...

I have a Lynx, I picked it over the Nanocom primarily because it's cheaper and I'm not really going to use it much. Lynx uses a laptop, Nanocom is a standalone portable device. Nanocom has more features than the Lynx but the features that Lynx has is good enough for me anyway. Lynx coverage...

    SRS fault reset

It's a 2 minute job for a garage (providing the fault isn't something that needs fixing). I've sent you a PM.

    Aghh! Emissions fail '97 P38

Take a look at the lambda sensors first using diagnostics (or you can probe the pins directly at the ECU if you wish.

You don't need to hold the button at the same time as turning the key btw. You simply press the button, and then turn the key.
