Nano has more HEVAC funtions and can calibrate the EAS without calibration blocks.

Nanocom is not VIN lcoked and can cover Defender and Disco if you buy the software modules which you also have to do with Lynx do you not?

To be fair Nano is locked to individual engine types for EMS diagnostics but works on other systems within the same vehicle type (at least for the P38). Lynx is unlocked across a whole vehicle type out-the-box, diesel, petrol (GEMS and Thor.)

what kind of extra hevac functions sorry for all the questions just trying to get it straight in my head

Nanocom can cycle blend motors, Lynx cannot but if you can be bothered pressing buttons on HEVAC panel Lynx is fine for HEVAC, reading codes & resetting is about the only things needed and Lynx can do just that.

NOT trying to sell any of them but it easily sounds like it, trying to get facts on the table.

just been looking at the lynx site and it looks like hevac only works from 1998 and transmission is the same

Well MUDs I'm well and truly happy with the nano evolution user friendly easy to operate no laptop needed hoping your battery is still alive unless you get an inverter (more money)

But all in all I think the extra ? 100 is worth to my door £401.
Easy set up too loads of manuels on the site for you if your not sure what things do it really is a good bit of kit IMO .

I agree, at the time I purchased my Lynx the difference was about £180 by the time it was delivered to my door - as the Lynx was only £250 all in, I couldn't justify the difference, if the difference was £100 I would have probably bought the Nanocom instead.

I have a Lynx, I picked it over the Nanocom primarily because it's cheaper and I'm not really going to use it much.

Lynx uses a laptop, Nanocom is a standalone portable device.

Nanocom has more features than the Lynx but the features that Lynx has is good enough for me anyway. Lynx coverage list

One thing that is better on the Lynx is that it will work on any P38. If you get a Nanocom for a diesel it won't connect to a petrol P38s engine ECU (but it will connect to non specific things such as BECM, HEVAC etc). I guess it isn't that important though unless your planning to be helping mates all the time. You can also buy more extra cars for the Lynx such as (D2,L322,Sport,Defender and more) where as the Nanocom only seems to cover P38,D2,Defender

There coverage is not very specific when a emailed them they said there is no readings for the lift sensor king injector as I call it . Is this true?

i am going to have a look at jacckks lynx system as he is quite local to me and see what it does on mine i also sent omnicon an email to ask the coverage on my particular model and year wish i could find a local p38 nanocom owner to do the same with that one then i could make a comparison
