Just replaced both master cylinder and slave cylinder. On mine a gasket was fitted at the master cylinder end. Hope it doesn't matter as it was a bitch refitting the lower bolt.

I was told tubed tyres are smooth on inside and tubeless have moulding "ridges," its the internal ridges that cause friction and heat. Can I ask what your using to check for "power"? If using a multimeter it can show voltage but that is with no load attached. Think of your battery it can show 12v with meter but fails to turn starter motor. Reason is that as soon as any load is placed on circuit voltage drops. Best to check...
