What have you done to your Freelander today

I had a bar of about 3 ft on the back wheel. I checked twice to make sure it was out of gear and handbrake off;). Standing on it would not make it move. I then put the tippex on and drove 4 times round my local roundabout at tight lock:D. No funny looks from the folk at the bus...

What have you done to your Freelander today

:mad:Fallen out with it completely:mad: Started doing a little job - changing reversing sensor. I then noticed the back hanger had broken off the back box so did a temporary repair. New back box required. Whilst I was underneath I checked the diff mountings and noticed one looked like it had...

Smoking and rough running at 2000RPM

Thanks for the reply epi. I think I'll start with injector cleaner. it had a new LP pump about 2 years ago and the HP pump this year. I also changed the MAP sensor a few months ago.

Smoking and rough running at 2000RPM

Hi Guys I have just spent about an hour searching and reading up on this but don't seem to get a definitive answer. My TD4 splutters and smokes (white smoke) between 2000 and 2100rpm. The rest of the time it starts and drives fine. I had a diagnostic and no faults are showing. I have read a...

Did you take any pictures of what was causing the problem? I got the same (its not the door seal) and haven't waded in yet. Is it easy to identify when the card is off?

What have you done to your Freelander today

Its a 2005 TD4. Well guys I have been out and measured the Scorpions (at about 6mm) measure 2140mm and the new ones measure 2155mm. The question is will approx 15mm cause a problem? I suspect there was more difference with the Scorpions all round than there is now. When I took it on the...

    Fuel tank cradle

I wish mine looked as sound as that! One of the tubes has rusted half way through. Its on the list of jobs to do. I didn't notice intil I was under last week checking IRD oil.

    hi guys what's this please?

Its the air filter housing. to remove it there are two allen bolts that you can see in the photo and three down the back which you will ideally need lonf "ball" ended allen keys. The three at the back can be awkward. The filter is inside.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Of course I know what i've done. Don't panic!!!! The rear have a larger circumference to the front so no fear of damage to VCU + IRD. I've always put new to the back and changed in pairs.
