i have found a spring underneath my series 3 88 ( diesel ) :doh:,almost halfway down and halfway across.The spring is of the fat type.it looks like i have found where the loose end goes but if anyone knows what this is spring is for please help :o

pianted me series 3 88,fixed the brakes ( rear end problem ) fitted a new battery but found a spring underneath and do not know where it goes ...yet.

thanks , got a battery works well and it is amazing how the lecky bits on a landy seem to get better with a new battery,thanks again .............

OK,back in the real world :D i have got £100, where do i go to get a battery , not bloomin halfords !

thanks,i know about cheap batterys but i just need it to get through the mot , if it then passed i would save up and get a good battery expensive or not and then use the other battery as a ' dual '

i have only got to know about the taxi cab ( austin ) since i bought this landy because of the engine.it is quite interesting and not a lot is known.however they are easy to spot as they have the round indicator lights exactly the same as ours.if you see one go and talk to the driver as you may...

too simple.did it myself after being told no problem ! there are at least x3 floor hangers which will be a problem.good luck..........:blabla:

believe it or not the austin taxi came out with land rover diesels,chassis and electrical bits.

anyone know where i can get a good cheap battery for a diesel series 3 ?

Evening folks, I have repaired the brakes on my series 3 with just 1 problem :confused: how do i get the rear x2 brake drums back on ? the front went good but these seem to have ' shrunk ' anybody help me :o

Hi,the brakes are the same and i have got the springs on :) by guessing.has not been bled yet so i hope that is the problem :o Does any body come from basingstoke who could come and have a look and chat ? Also the engine is a land rover diesel but it has come out of a taxi,would anyone know...

get a bloomin series ( preferably petrol ) and bobs yer uncle :D

Hmm ! i know i am going to sound stupid but brakes are not my thing :doh:here goes,how do the springs fit on the rear brakes ( 10 inch ) as i have had a look and they are both different :confused: one side goes on the brake shoes the other side goes behind the shoes :eek: can anyone help...please.
