    Handbrake adjustment

Yes, I have a 2004 model TD6 and the handbrake is exactly the same and the MOT place also is aware of this issue but still passed it.

Try by asking a dealer in the UK. They should(?) have a definitive answer.

I will check on RAVE cd and get back to you regarding adjustment. It might be in the owners handbook....have you got one? I have just checked RAVE cd and I couldn't find anything on headlight beam adjustment to lhd.

It won't work in the long term as you'll basically need to buy lhd headlights from where ever you are based? You could try ebay in Germany. Why do you want to convert anyway?

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

It's working fine doesn't pull to the left as you might suspect but that's because it's been replaced. And as for Datatek's comments......."As I said at the start.............................?" Are you trying to take the credit for my hard work?

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

Took the caliper off today...discovered it was very badly pitted and corroded. Seals were in tact, however when I tried to replace piston, after to tidying the piston with 600 wet/dry, I couldn't get it to go back in, it totally jammed solid on me.....tried mole grips to free...but all to no...

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

Will attempt to pop-out piston and re-seat dust cover tomorrow. I contacted local stealer and they quote over £17 for seal kit, but couldn't confirm what is actually in the kit....they seem to think a piston may come with the kit....how professionally inspiring is that...even when they...

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

Thanks to myfirstl322 I think I will attempt to remove piston and re-insert dust cover and then proceed to bleed brakes. Really appreciate the advise. I'll let you know how I get on later this week.

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

I have taken the old pads out and replaced with new ones. However, I did not pop the piston out to re-insert the dust cover because, in all honesty, I think it might be better to send the caliper off to a re-conditioner like Bigg Redd for example. I'm a bit nervous about popping the piston out...

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

Thanks for your help and response. Yes, but how do I get the dust seal back into the caliper bore end of the piston? I have tried but it wont go back in. The only option I can see is to strip caliper or what do you suggest?

TD6 Front N/s caliper seized up

Thanks for your replies. Have got caliper off and noticed the dust seal around the piston has detached itself on one side. Managed to free piston, but concerned that the piston dust seal wont go back into place. Does anyone know what I should do? Disc is fine no damage fortunately.

Hi dogsbody, Thanks for your comments, I will do what you suggest and disable the rf unit, however can you recommend a decent battery type, it states in handbook should be 72 amp/hr, mine is 70?
