It won't work in the long term as you'll basically need to buy lhd headlights from where ever you are based? You could try ebay in Germany.
Why do you want to convert anyway?

Are you sure. on BMW`s you can program them I`m told?
I just like the look of the 06 facelift, and the rearlights need to be changed anyway. So just thought why not, if the price is right.

Some lights has a lever to select LHD/RHD, some are designated to one. Quite sure my X5 had the lever

I think most UK registered BMW's had the left / right headlamp lever and feel sure it was for temporary use whilst touring Europe etc but doubt it will pass OP's MOT tho that would be too simple

I done the same, then decided I liked the 2012 more.
So changed the 2006 conversion to a 2012 facelift
I will check on RAVE cd and get back to you regarding adjustment.
It might be in the owners handbook....have you got one?
I have just checked RAVE cd and I couldn't find anything on headlight beam adjustment to lhd.

Thanks for checking anyway. I have got every manual to the car, except the one for regular things.
Try by asking a dealer in the UK. They should(?) have a definitive answer.
