I did an oil change when I got it a year ago and the oil seemed ok, obviously black but not sludge, I used expensive oil and do very few miles so hopefully it won’t be bad

I’ll have a google this evening so I can prefer one if it’s meant to have one

No idea on oil pressure, not had any warning lights on but the mechanic I spoke to was telling me that he’s seen these showing decent pressure but partly clogged pickups, oil not reaching the head as well as it should His opinion was it’s worth a look

Doesn’t sound like chain or guides but could be I guess, I did a flush in my old one and that helped for a short time, is it easy to check the chain and guides on the td6?

It’s more a rattle than a knock, and cam speed not crank, I know a few on here have similar issues as did my previous td6, it’s been suggested that the top end is getting starved of oil especially on my very short slow speed commute, might as well give it a look as the oil needs swapping anyway...

Yeah put it on gumtree to see what interest I had and sold it that afternoon, seems 300,000 miles didn’t put everyone off, Regretted selling it the next time I started up the td6

Yeah pipes all look good, checked the underside while it was up in the air for mot last week, It’s the td6, sold the S/C begrudgingly, I’m seriously looking into getting a tdv8, can’t stand the ratttling noisy td6 and fancy some more performance.
