We haven't got to deal with anything silly tbh. Just be able to show we've thought about risks and have taken reasonable steps to minimalise them.

Bouncy castle comes with conditions attached from the hire company that we comply with or don't hire so not much we can do about that.

risk assessments ????????????

Fact of life in the litigious times in which we live.

I appreciate the effort folks are putting in. Most get-togethers are put on by professional organisations these days. Risk assessments, liability insurance, access requirements etc. are part of the reason. So for those doing it in their spare time :clap2:

So Fanny made a mountain out of a mole hill then:rolleyes:

Like the idea of a twist off, tug of war..either with vehicles or humans, winch recovery demonstration, something for the kids is a must... nowt worse than bored kids around  BB doin his woodcraft **** with the kids is a good idea imo. Little prizes for competitions for the kids....(im sure lollies and stuff etc can be purchased for little funds) Cant think of any comps for them tho

Haha, yeah cheers Mints, I guess I could do some woodcraft **** :p would have to be small groups though.....half a dozen or so.

Games of Fox and Hounds in the wood? Low rope course? Simple rope and harness climbing? Den building? Teach a few knots and then have a problem solving competition to see which group can build a structure that holds the most people off the ground made out of six sticks?

Kids are easy to entertain and generally like a challenge. It's just a matter of getting the level right for each child and group.

I int doing it alone all weekend though!

Hope you are not going to show them how to fold up a tent:lol:

What about 'number plate treasure hunt' , would take half an hour or so to organise , kids get given first number plate , when they find the vehicle in/ on it is the next plate number with maybe a visual clue (battered 109 springs to mind:lol:) maybe 5or 6 vehicles with a prize at the end vehicle?

Could be an utterly ****e idea , but it's just me throwing me two penneth worth in :D
