Having done some work on both the P38 and the Classic and today having fannied about with the sunroof headlining panel for the better part of a couple of hours (dark stopped play) it got me to thinking..

The rave manual puts this as a simple task a couple of straightforward steps.. but ohhhh noooo ! never is that way.. it out annoys putting the sodding link rod end clips on the door lock mechanism and that caused a lot of 'grrr-ing'

So what's the biggest fanny about for what appears to be a s simple job that you've come across or had to endure on the range rover ??

Well get yer northern backside down here and do my sunroof headlining panel then :p

Will be doing mine when weather gets better. Or when the time comes i can get enough **** out of the garage to get the car in. :D

Is there a guide for replacing the sunroof liner...without removing all the headlining?

You don't need to remove the headlining to get to the sunroof panel, the roof itself and the headlining panel slides into a box, or tray, if you like, mounted in the roof, so removing the headlining gets you no more access to the panel.

For me it was LH blend motor retaining screws, access to motor easy airbag out, glovebox out, and lower panel off, I undid the screws using a pozi bit, longnose pliers, and a 7mm spanner, replacing em was harder, but Ive had an idea why not replace the screws with hex headed ones, then only spanner needed, some of you will probably disagree and say "piece of ****" just my thoughts.
