Hahaha! To be honest, as a regular reader of various classic car journals I was very surprised, pleasantly, to see D1's and 2's featured in this way and as I said, alongside such exotic true classic cars. However, the reasoning outlined for the recommendation in the article is clear for us D owners to understand, ie, the capabilities of a Defender with added practicality and ride comfort and affordability, beyter as a family mpv, better mile munching cruiser etc etc etc. Have you seen what dealers are asking for decent or even semi decent Defenders now......un believable.
