Had a disaster with the spy camera mounted on the windscreen: my mate & I never realised it does not auto focus like much of today's camera tech. So al the footage was a blurred mess.... ARSE!
Neil borrowed my camera and took quite a few pics when we stopped for lunch at Samer water- the water was quite literally everywhere; up to the road, no car park! I'll upload them soon, but off out to parent's in a bit for some Christmas dinner
Thanks to all for making it a cracking day out, especially to Neil & Andy for giving me the confidence that a stock D2 can go up Cam intact! :tea: Ta to drewster for passing out the Wurthers Originals
Beaver, glad you got home OK. hope to see you, your good lady and the 110 sometime next year. On the good side, the screwed rear hub, bearing etc. was discovered on easily accessible tarmac and not up Cam, in the dark!
Just spent the last couple of hours of daylight inspecting the underside of my D2 & removing the rear pads from the offside caliper.
Seems some anti rattle grease had contaminated the inner pad (about 1/3 of the bottom of it). I'll get some new pads but have wire brushed that bit and cleaned the disc with a bit of petrol.
Oh well... apart from that.....
GOD, I LOVE LAND ROVERS!
