I've got my self a set of special track that are to be fit on to my wheels very soon,

I mostly use my Landy off road, so is it worth putting tubes in them? They are 267/75/16

Pros and cons?

You can run a lower tyre pressure without the need for bead lockers but if you get a puncture they go down much quicker with tubes in em and unless the wheels and tyres are designed for tubes they will wear holes in the tubes.

We ran tubed tyres in Australia because they are harder to puncture (but harder to repair when they do go flat) than tubeless tyres. Don't think it made much of a difference to the off road ability compared to the Landcruiser troopys my company used, except that they had to repair or replace tyres every few days, but we ran seven months without a single puncture :D

I used to run tubes and run 10psi regularly offroad comps but I will never run tubes again I had the wheels off 3 times cleaned painted and the last time blasted and painted no sharp edges to catch th etube made sure they were all good. I will never run tubes again tubless is the way forward.

If you insist in tubes you need to get the inserts that cover the rivits with these you stand some chance but not worth it imo

Tubes are a pain in the arse, they get holed from rough terrain rubbing them the wrong way on the rims, personally I wouldn't fit them, if your going for low pressures use a bead locker, if its for occasional use in soft **** then just drop them to 10-15psi and it will be fine...

This is the opposite of my experience, but different strokes for different folks I guess
