it turns out it has a few strange things about it and it might be ex army so i'll be trying to find out more things about it if i can.
 
ive been working on it today, i took off the starter motor unsiezed it and fixed a broken wire inside it, fitted a new selinoid, cleaned up the points and fuel filter bowl, fitted new plugs and started her up for the first time!!

i also cleaned all the mould, moss and sh!te off the outside and took some pics which are in the series gallery.

i bought it not running and it runs really sweet so im well happy!
 
thanks, i just have to check the breaks out, sort a couple of lights and then its motd and off the road for some fun! :D
