Unfortunately my father has terminal cancer and is eager to see me receive my inheritance of his cherished Landy. It is one of the 80 series 2A's built for the US market, hence the LHD. I need to get it shipped over but to do that I need to get an idea of value too. Hoping the far more knowledgable folk here will be able to help.

I am shipping it from RSA to the UK. The Landy is in a very used state, lots of war wounds etc. But largely rust free (Except normal surface stuff. My dad got the chassis galvanised I believe and also did a full frame up restoration of it. Keeping said battle wounds from the years.

I do not have any recent pictures yet, but hen I get them I will add here.

Thank you all in advance.

Sorry to hear about your Father but hope you can do his series 2 justice.
Value is really what someone will pay. Rarity will increase value, poor condition reduce.
For insurance I would look at cars of similar age in reasonable condition. If you need valuation for import purposes it may be better if the value is low ? Ask what type of valuation is accepted.
If you don't have full documentation, including V5 or equivalent it may be worth joining the Series 2 Club and seeking advice Before you import.
For shipping I believe in standard container is cheapest.
Good luck
