Rear heated screen this is a pickup?
the interior light switch is a dual switch not sure what other side is.
Thnx
yes coming apart so disconnecting fixing repairing

Having the heated screen switch shows that likely your truck was once a hard top.

Thanks, the opening for the bed was modified at some point assuming some thing was fitted to rear bed?

Pick up rear opening for what we call a tail gate you may call tail board.
What you may cal the floor in the rear.

The tub floor on a landrover is an alluminium sheet that is riveted to some cross struts which you can easily see from underneath.
I don't think was anything fitted to the floor in 1984 ?
If you drill out the rivets you can ease the floor out, i believe that YRM do a 2mm or 3mm replacement.

In the early S3 there were no door switches for the interior light, the switch on the right in your pic is for the interior light and the dash lights.
The switch on the left is for the heated rear, safari door, window.
If you have a pick up/open tub now they typicaly came with a (drop down) tail gate, if the rear door is side hung then it's likely to have been cut in half when the top was removed.
Original pickups often have cleats along the rear tub capping when the tilt was tied onto.

Post some pics ....

Good pic.
Originqal soft top, late SIII 3 tub by the looks of it (?)
Dunno what the two holes are for ...

Tailgate is MUC8736

Just of interest, where the plates are riveted on top of the wheel box's it was possible to have a shaped holder for the spare wheel usually behind the driver [ mine was like this] with a clamp to the side rail. A tool box could be fitted the other side.

Originally a soft top you say,

it is a 110 3 tub.?

The holes were crudely done for speakers!
Will need patching.

unfortunately the sills were welded to bulkhead so that is slowly coming apart, why I was asking about switches.
I will need to go through all the wiring for any bad areas.

tailgate was bent I have a good one & a lift gate should I go that way.
