Windows, sunroof, mirrors don't work on 96 P38 4.0 SE auto.

Don't when this happened. Had a problem with battery drain and this was traced to a wiring issue in the drivers door and repaired in December 07. Being cold didn't really use windows. Boxing Day noticed windows didn't open, nor sunroof nor wing mirrors adjustment. I've checked the central console fuse and RH & LH front door fuse and that seems OK.
Anybody got any ideas? Thanks:confused:

It will most likely be the window switch pack, it seems a more and more common thing these days, have a search on here to see other peoples issues.

To test the theory you really need to find another switch pack and swap it over and see if they work then. If you can find someone with a Rovacom or similar then they can hook their computer up and test the windows/sunroof/mirrors from the machine. This way you can rule out any problems with the BeCM etc.

Im pretty sure you both have problems with the window switch pack.

Its the panel with the buttons for the windows, sunroof and mirrors on in the middle of the vehicle?? To remove it, open centre cubby box and remove the two screws at the top of the switch pack. Slide the handbrake handle off forwards (it takes some effort) and then tilt the switch pack forward, undo the connector and remove.

O had the same problem with ours.

we tested all the windows first on the computer and all worked fine apart from the passanger front.
I replaced the switch pack which fixed all exept the passanger. it turned out that there is also an out station on the passanger side that was also faulty, once i had changed that all was well again!

Well better late than never - since then I've had a P38 2.5 diesel (chipped), a Defender 90 TD5, a 1989 3.9 Classic Vogue and now a L322 4.4 (LPG)
