hi fellas. my driver side widow reg broke yesterday sounds like the wires are all frayed.has anyone used the repair kit they sell on ebay.i dont want to spend £20 on a repair kit and find out there crap or should i just replace the reg for £80,,,cheers

I broke 2 of those repair kits before giving up and buying the whole regulator. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

Yeah me to, bought one but it didn't wind on the spool properly so wasted my time and 20 quid. Think I'll be buying the whole thing off eBay for 60 quid. Whole lit easier :)

Ditto, bought a kit and gave up with it. Complete unit off e-bay far less hassle to fit and cheap enough.

fitted today,result :):):)
Next time carefully remove the regulator,so you know what goes where.Source new wire measure and allow 10mm either end.I tried to remove the broken wire by heating,no joy ,so I drilled it out with a 3mm iirc. Then pushed the cable through the casings and other parts.

Once the end bits are on frey the ends and dab on some flux and sweat in some solder.
Cost c.€1.50.
You will most likely have to fix another cable again sometime.
