I have a 1997 P38 4.6 HSE, and last winter my daughter tried to open the passenger window when it was frozen, anyway, it didnt open and when it thawed out all the other windows and sunroof opened as they should, but the passenger window didnt.
In the owners hand book it refers to a fuse which protects both front windows and as the driver window works I assume it to be ok, I have checked it and it is.
I have now replaced the passenger window regulator and now the switch panel in the centre console, but it still does not operate.

Any ideas, am I missing something silly :doh:

Spray silicone lubricant around the window guides first, inside and outside.Leave for a couple of minutes then operate the switch whilst getting someone to "Manually" try to help the window lower.
If thats succesful, give the window guides another spray of silicone followed by cleaning the glass !!
Can you hear the window motor trying to run ??

The window its self isnt siezed in anyway, when I swapped the window motor / mechanism, the window slid up and down just fine.
I have disconnected the battery in a hope that it may reset anything electronic that was confused and now it needs all the windows and sunroof resetting, although when I get to this window it wont let me finish the setup procedure.

When the window down button is pressed nothing happens, the motor doesnt try to operate and when the up button is pressed the car beeps and says window not set, even though it wont let me set it as per the handbook.
