Yes somewhere, Google an u shall find:)

Mine passed like that but he said i was allowed so many bodymount areas as long as the body was secure :scratching_chin:
He did however fail it on a seat belt area corroded

Mine failed on something very similar.

Patched it for the retest but will be replacing sills with box section when i bet round to it. Then its done and can be forgotten about

so long as the body is deemed to be secure you can have upto half the body mounts missing and it should still pass so if it's just that one don't panic about it. you will be surprised how fubared things have to be to fail yet there are some stupid things that fail if they are slightly wrong alot of it is down to the interpretation of the testers guide by the tester and the local vosa guy who will give points to the tester if they inspect a car just tested and have a different opinion. to many points and the tester can't test

A mate of mine who lives in Ashford is a mobile mechanic who also does welding, I can let you have his number if your interested.

Thanks for your input I am going to attempt it myself. Just needed to know how to do it do you i4drill out the rivets cut out outer sill and weld box section to inner seal?. How much is box section I've seen 1.4m lengths on ebay for 18 + postage is that about right price per section
