I have a 109 with a galvanised chassis , but the body is in poor shape.
I have a 1984 110 CSW with a completely rotten chassis. Some rough measurements suggest that it might fit on the 109 chassis,at least from the bulkhead back.
Any advice would be most welcome.

I put a 109 body on to a 110 chassis years ago. I had to alter the brackets for the front of the rear tub, but every thing else bolted in the same. And when you have done that you will need to move the rear wheel arches because they will be too far back. When I did the 109 on to the 110 the arches were too far forward and it looked weird, so they were cut out and moved back an inch.

Many thanks for the reply. I had wondered where the extra inch was. More careful measurement needed before going much further.

just buy the correct bodywork ffs  don't wreck a 109 by turning it into a ****ty looking fender

I was asked to do it, and if some one passes a wad of cash under your nose, what would you do, walk away? I don't think so.

A cash job is different :p but this guy already has a 109 with a ratty body, just buy a new rear tub or repair the old one!

Far better

Any way up-shot to my story is he didn't like the end result, so he decided to scrap it. So I bought it for scrap value, a 110 galv chassis and as new 200tdi bulk head and a 300tdi engine and box. I just need to replace the front wings roof and rear tub and Ive got a 110, 300tdi for scrap price.
Any body got a scrap 110 they don't want?:D

I could put it on an oversized pallet :p or you could drive up and get it!

Got a set of chopped up wings too

I'm interested, I'll be in the UK in about 3 weeks. Do you know any body who wants a 3.5efi and gearbox from a Discovery?

I'm interest in the roof, could do with finding a tub to go with it to make the trip more worth while. How many beer tokens do you want for it?

I had to alter the brackets

Would that be the front brackets under the tub?
What did you do about the wheel arches?
