Probably to prevent accidental movement of clutch area. Not forgetting the wife, will still be in passenger seat berating your driving since become deaf and gaga and not aware.I have seen several posts where people recommend putting an engine crane through the driver's side to move the gearbox when doing a clutch change . Surely it'd be better to put it through the passenger side where the steering wheel won't be in the way ?
Accidental movement of clutch area ?Probably to prevent accidental movement of clutch area. Not forgetting the wife, will still be in passenger seat berating your driving since become deaf and gaga and not aware.
Possibly a way better answer. My guess having the lifting equipment entered into the driver's side stops any chance of accidents in being restricted space. While the passenger side allows you ensure visual control and physical access better.Accidental movement of clutch area ?
Plus you cannot swing a heavier hammer from that side when you lose your stuff.More space is the answer.
If you put the crane in the passenger side you now have a steering wheel to avoid with all you movements and spannering
When I used the passenger side it was more about space outside the vehicle than inside.More space is the answer.
