If you had a fender you would know they are made from alley and don't rust think you need something else to point out that is actually true!!

:D Yeah right! All apart from minor details like chassis, bulkhead, doors......

I bought a Disco purely because I wanted the engine......200Di in my series....es :p

Not really my type of vehicle but each to their own

SO the defender has an alloy chassis then why all the galvanised chassis`s for sale for them then  . You a bit touchy about your defender being called a rust bucket its a landrover its gonna rust . OW! SORRY that will be COROSION with a defended so as you so touchy about yours must have started :hysterically_laughi

I like the Defender but at least i know it`s gonna RUST just like my Disco but unlike some people i wont take the hump when some one calls it a Rust bucket :mooning:

I wanted a fender but couldn't afford one. Bought the disco because it had 7 seats and my wife wants another kid. Seemed a fair trade off....... I think

Should 'Couldnt afford a Defender' be an option as that was my reason.

Or not couldn't afford, but made better sense to.

i.e.

I could buy a tidy'ish, solid 200Tdi Disco for £1300 (which I did) or at the time buy a very knackered, rusted, beat up 2.5TD pick up for £3500-4000.

What makes me laugh is you all say you brought a disco because it was such good value and blame the wife!!
But how would you know that defenders are too expensive.
You wanted one couldn't afford it!!
Got a disco. End of!

And no my fender is not rusted!!

Must be the only one in the world you will have to tell the rest of the world where you got it. I said i liked the defender i didnt say i wanted one i like my disco better if i wanted a farm kart i would get a defender :p and yes i can afford one but dont want one:violin:
