Yep looks reet cold Willo. . . . .ma Rockit is always on stand by, and its hard work keeping it snow free,sometimes we have to go into town for food etc . . . .lucky i have a gaylander :D :D :D

Ah well you see, those who knock the FL ( and I used to be one of them, when I had my 4.0 V8 RR classic ) need to realise that they might not have had their "proper" landrovers at all if not for the Freelander. Land Rover was facing extinction in the 90`s because of the likes of Toyota and Isuzu, as well as Suzuki and even JEEP grabbing the market in the less serious off road stuff. Something had to be done...enter the Freelander. I hated it when it came out and remember well the furore in the 4X4 community over the very idea of such a "toy", I myself was horrified at those skinny little prop and driveshafts and thought they would just twist or snap under any load. But all that is by the by, fact is freelander put a lot of very much needed revenue in to landrover and no doubt is the reason Landrover exists at all in the 21st century -- despite its troubles and various owners, so there.

Shame these so called senior members can't answer simple questions on the Freelander, perhaps they call it a gaylander cos they have no idea.

What a question to ask! I look around and notice a Gayfender near here, a Gayscovery over there, a Toyota gay4 behind you, a Gayuki Vitara between two Gayero (Mitsubishi). And I tought: everywhere türelem is a Gaylander!!!

Don't really understand why 'mums' would want a gaylander... as an owner of one for the last few months I can't really find anything that assists with being a parent!
The boot is useless given that it's massive door opens on the side so no chance of getting a ton of shopping/pushchairs etc in it unless of course you park arse facing out. The general space inside is really cramped... the boot... total waste of time that is! I've managed to stow 4 pairs of wellies, a road map and a blanket in the boot and it's full!
I guess the only one good thing I can say about it is that it's really easy to work on. I wouldn't be in a hurry to purchase another.

Fold the rear seats down and yer can get a washing machine in. How does it need to be?
 
Was considering another disco... tho I found with the last one I had, my driving position must be odd as I managed to keep smashing my elbow on the door every time I turned the steering or could be cos I'm a short ass that I have my seat so far forward and that changes the driving position? Dunno rambling now... but I did love the space in it and just really loved it.... so many things I didn't like with it tho, like having to turn the steering wheel a thousand times just to get the wheels to move an inch... I needed a step ladder to lift the bonnet... Argh! But I really want one!!
