And robbh, I only have one set of tyres, Malatesta Extremes, so I'll be keeping them on!

Good to know Paul D. Well if that's the case I'll leave them on. Saves dragging another set of tyres halfway up country and leaves more room for important things like spares, beer and cake. :p

is there a group booking for the p&p? it would be nice to get my wife interested and get her some offroad driving practice :)

never taken the hippo greenlaning yet , I've only got bridgestone dueler road tyres fitted and been very pleased with them but wondering if they may be up to the greenlaning event

really happy to go but just wondering in how severe it is ie , non damaging , plus got some tow strops as I think I may need it , lol

Last year had one section with ruts and a couple with possible scratchy places, but only leaves/twigs not full-on scratchy .. I doubt anyone would get stuck anywhere on any tyres .. but if you do we have full recovery gear and the experience to use it .. :)

A lot depends on weather, last year had a lot of rain beforehand. This year, if it's dry beforehand, it'll be a picturesque doddle .. :)

not going to be severe at all and going to miss out the one with ruts this year

sounds good to me, not worried about a few scratches , was just worried due to the limited height

will be good as I know half of the worry is getting stuck and not having anyone around

thks again and looking forward to it ,

got some damar strops and shackles in the boot

mines an auto and suppose to be good off road, we will see , lol

will be good to see what it will do , plus will have my son with me and he's never driven off road , but he's got sense and likes the fenders

thks, it will be the ruts that catch me out due to its lower ride height

will be good fun as I haven't got to worry about getting stuck , that's half the fun

last one I took of road was my series 3 diesel , christ that was noisy but tough as nails

The ruts caught me out last year, but I've only got 205 /16s fitted. Grounded on my diff but hauled out with no drama. I'm going with the same tyres this year, with no fears!

Are you sorting routes out this year then?

I'm happy to be a leader if you need .. ;)

I am one of a few sorting lanes out, going by the amount of people saying they want to go laning your help will be appreciated :)

No worries.

Last year Matt gave me the lanes via a number of devices to put on my tablet on the morning .. it might be easier and less fraught if you email me them a few days before hand!!

;)

thought it might help and just put my name down for the saturday run

so hopefully can then tag along with flatlander, 110 , Rosie etc , sorry did see the names but when u vote the names go, lol

I was in my Freelander last year. Well...the wife's . Standard apart from AT tyres and it was fine. The engine tray was bumped a couple of times but not enough to damage anything. If I can get my other Freelander on the road in time I will be on pirelli scorpions and I am confident they will be fine for me.
If you were to get stuck plenty of assistance and **** taking on hand.
I fully intend to do a days laning. Mostly to get the wife to use her a/t tyres properly. Non scratchy route for me.

I'd like to be out with me old chum Flatlander if poss!!

I'm hoping that Drover will make it this year - was gutted not to be able to lane those lanes, plus I wanna give somebody a bath - maybe Accy could be the lone camera man on the bridge?!?

Rather randomly - I've just ordered a 'set' of LEDs for my GoPro, that go around the external lens housing. They will be coming so that night-time shenanigans might get filumed.

Got my diff guards today :D steering guard got fitted the other weekend so we are good to go!

was just looking at the voting and its not really moved much, as for diff and steering guards that's great, but wont be needed down here. lanes are really easy but nice to drive :)

Yeah I've heard... Just getting my landy kitted out while I have some extra cash from freelance coming in... Plus it means I can park up curbs now and all sorts :D

It does look like it'll be worth trying to sort some laning for Sunday which will help keep the number of routes needed down
