Hello,

Which rims would people recommend are the best for off road and which are better for your normal daily drive tyres?

Thank you

round ones.

Its down to personal taste.

Buy what you like the look of or can afford.

erm......... wrong fred buddy.

The gaylander section is a few sections down  :D

All holier than thou now aren't ya? Wasn't quite the same when you had been living on the Road for a while was it. I don't know some people just swap and change their preferences far too easily,a few months with wifey and its all ' urgh I don't like rimming, I like girls me, I'm straight, the gaylander section isn't for me, wrong Fred buddy' bloody turncoat. :p

I have cheep alloy disco rims for less weight

Right depends on what tyres you have.

Tubeless you have less choice people seem to like wide rims i have no idea why I prefer the look of skinny slightly offset rims.

Wolf rims are good but heavy,
Rostyle rims very nice but pita if you break a halfshaft tubed ones very very light,
8 spokes/wellers modulars look cheap imo but available cheaply in many offsets and widths.

Personally you can't go wrong with good old land rover style LWB FV Rims tubless ideally.

I actually have a dilemma at the moment my self. I have a set of 5 rostyle tubless rims for my 90 I brought them as I like them alot. I have a set of almost new G90 tyres x6 to be sold as I no longer have any use for them. They are however on SWB Landy rims with tubes.

I also have a set of 4 10.50 100 R16 2 fitted to disco steel rims with tubes and another 2 to be fitted on?? I guess another pair of disco rims for my 90 poor offset on disco steels so steering lock will be abismal! These are as a stop gap between selling the small 7.50 G90's and eventually 10.50 36 inch measured beasts for something I really want.

So I'm left with a set of nice rims some tyres to sell but no tyres I wish to fit and keep for years and years so I'm on the hunt for decent 33/34 inch measured tall skinny aggressive tyres. Seeming hard to find!
