In what situation would you need to unlock the BeCM ?
Is it if you wanted to fit a unit from another vehicle ?

That is certainly one situation. There are other parameters that are set before the BECM is locked and can only be changed by unlocking it.
 
Thanks for that Datatek, I am now a little wiser.
I am also thinking about getting a Nanocom or Faultmate, hence my question.
So far I am leaning toward the Nanocom, unless there are parameters that often need looking at/changing. Your advise would be useful.

Nanocom will do most everything you will need;)
 
Just get a Nanocom, you will have paid for it in 2 or 3 fault code readings....and if u need anything more than a Nanocom does, u probably shouldn't be messing with it, so get a professional in!!

Prehaps if you posted some useful info or used BBS support forum you would find out why you have an issue instead of just bad mouthing BBS.:5bcheers2:

TUT TUT TUT, no welcome messages, and only bad mouthing? not a good start. as stated, give more info! someone here MIGHT be able to help you. but if you are only going to bad mouth people and companies, you may not get what you want.
 
Just looking through the previous posts, looks like we have 5 people wanting the Nanocom, just need another 5 for a 20% discount!!

Shame he was pushed off this site as he has more knowledge of the P38 and L322 than most.:mad:

To be fair and honest Keith most of Colins posts on here were, buy my stuff and sort your problem, rather than very much do this, or that, to sort your problem. Most of them were not very well disguised adverts to be honest. But i agree he is a clever bloke that sometimes comes over the wrong way.:)
