Hello all, im looking for some help... as i appear to be the only lady (i use this term loosely) landy owner that i can find on here.. im going to ask a really girl question.
I have be come the very proud owner of a 1984 series 3, and with most it has a few leaks mainly round the door/window area.

I have looked on ebay at seals and there is afew folk selling what appears to be the same seal same seller for 2 very different prices??

I want to sart by replacing the seal around the windows on oth doors but im unsure now which seal to buy??

Could any of you nice fellas help a gal out???

We've gotta fair smattering of wimmins so don't worry :)

Are you talking about the seal the glass sits in? If so I'll give you a link to a very good plastic replacement that actually works.

As for the other seals, quality and price vary wildly. Good ones are over-priced and cheap ones are rubbish.....make your choice :p

The window seals are the first replacment then the actual door rubbers if that wont cure the deluge x

A lot of the early Fender door seals should fit as we have the same doors.
 
Are you sure its the seal and not the door top being fitted badly? The top half of the door is held on with two biggish nuts. If you slacken them off and pull the top of the door inwards whilst retightening them you might get a better seal...

Other than that go to pdf Land Rover Manuals | Landroverweb.com and download the parts catalogue, this has diagrams and part numbers for everything then you can find them easier on Craddocks, Paddocks, Famous Four or wherever, good ebay sellers will put part numbers on too.

i think the part your after is 395672 shown in the picture attched
that's the seal that attaches to the window screen frame
