I have viewed the various threads regarding bringing the bumpers back up to their original colour/shine, but does anyone know where I can get these products from besides ordering online?

I am after either carlack bumper sealant, or carplan bumper sealant..

I have of course tried google, but I can only find online stores.

I have also tried halfords..

Any good local motor factors shop should have something useful. Look in your yellow pages or phone book.

if you can get hold of some i would recomend BOCOMO Back for good,but have only ever seen it on their website,its not cheap about 14 quid but it works realy well and lasts about 6 months before it needs doing again. one bottle should last about 2 years so it works out ok

use sum peanut butter on ur bumper mind u make sure it and the 1 wiv bits in put it on the rub it round nd wipe it orf that should do u

Thanks all..

It does look ok in the photo, as that the was same day I put something on it, but a day later it was back to white/grey..

I tried Turtle wax black trim 'clean, shine & protect'.. takes ages, so only managed one wheel arch last night, and haven't checked to see if its dried out to normal, or as if by magic worked!

I decided to not be impatiant, and get something on line, but can't find the 2 suggested on here.. I am guessing they have changed the name of it.. if this one doesn't work, it will be linseed oil!

Yes, it does need mud, and will be getting some tonight!

The trim on early freelanders is grey, so back to black won't be any good.

Have you tried rubbing it with WD40 or similar?

If you do it with WD 40, make sure you wipe the excess off and preferably let it soak before driving with it. I did mine with it, didn't wipe off, went for a drive almost straight away after wiping it on, everything covered in dust which was a right b'stard to shift 'cos it had caked up with the 'oil'!!

I just don't bother now ...

I just don't bother now ...

I'll have to see how difficult last weeks coating of Kirton mud is to shift then - I knew I should have waited until after the weekend before I washed it :doh:
