Hi guys! hello everyone!, yep im restoring and old disco 1, here in Uruguay far from any spares HAHA, anyway Im a mechanic and car painter, Im running a bodyshop over here, after moving from UK 12 years ago, were I spent 10 years!, probably the best time of my life!, anyway I came across an old disco, they are rare over here, so I thought will be nice to have my little bit of Britain with me everyday.
Im buying bits from UK and USA trough ebay bit by bit, with no problems so Far, my gear stick was bobbly so changed the bias plate and springs, it was broken as all of them, but once adjusted noticed when coming out from fifth gear into neutral, heared a metalic noise like a ping!, into 5 out and again the same, and honestly cant remember if was like that before, not many times tried stationary, so removed the lot again and what I can see is the litle joke when going out bangs against the case, is this normal?? cant see anything wrong! will try to upload a short video, any help will be appreciated.

Thanks very much

Gabriel

Hi Guys,
Thought I'd have a look on here.
I've had my 90 for a few years but it's currently laid up awaiting chassis and bulkhead change - I'm finally doing it next month so could we be shouting for advice from underneath the thing!
I've also a series 2a - it's my daily drive and a real sweetie. I do most maintenance myself and have just changed it from a truck cab to a full tilt.
I'm a member of the series 2 club and get to as many meets as possible, but work gets in the way!
Anyway, I look forward to making your acquaintance!

Rachel.

Hi all, just signed up. Just bought a 2009 Freelander 2 HSE for my expanding family so thought i'd come on here and see what i should be worried/not worried about. Seems to be running fine but there is a bit of a whine through the speakers when i switch on the A/C and am going over about 50kmh. If anyone could point me in the way of any posts covering that it would be excellent. Thanks.

Recently moved to Newmarket, Suffolk. It's good to see many older Land Rovers still in use in the fields.
