Living in Dubai. Currently driving a Defender TDCi and just picked up a Disco 4 SCV6. Have a Defender 300TDi 110 and a TD5 Disco back home in Ireland.

Had a Range Rover Sport V8, I miss the power of it but I don't miss the speeding fines and repairs...

the north of wales.
welcome, new member myself think you will find most members are.. well a little bit different to the norm:D.

Greetings, newbi here. Born & raised in Youngstown, Ohio USA. Now residing in Mesa, Arizona, USA. I recently purchased a 2007 Range Rover 4.4L non-aspirated HSE. Really nice ride, except after a little inspection, it comes with a whole list of issues. I'm hoping that you folks can provide some much needed assistance in my efforts to perform DIY maintenance. As a 24-year military veteran and 20-year ceramic technology engineer, I can handle most maintenance concerns.

Recently I had to replace the engine due to overheating. (The Y-hose broke at the upper reservoir nipple) That, in my opinion, was best left to the "professionals". Yeah, well that didn't turn out so well. They broke the CV Drive Axle and seized the differential to boot!

In any case, you get the picture. Currently, I need to check/repair the rear valve block because every morning I find the rear suspension sitting on the bump stops. It is OK after I raise it to normal height, and remains so the rest of the day. Where in the heck is the rear valve block? I need to check for leaks as well. I'll try soapy water for that.

Any ways, hope to meet every here in the near futute. Have a wonderful day!

Your first best bet is to post your queries in the Range Rover section... then the knowledgeable peeps will assist, (hopefully) ...

Hi

Live in Northumberland, close to the sea, been here 11 years but from Yorkshire originally. My little 03 plate FL1 serves me well around here and it's surprising how popular Land Rovers are around here. And belive me, when the weather comes in from the North Sea you're glad you're in a Land Rover :)

Ahh ok. Makes sense.
Hello all. Im Yan. I have a rust bucket of 2003 Freelander which is increasingly causing grief. Determined to keep her going for as long as possible and only 160k on the clock. Have a few immediate issues to sort first. Windows that don't go up and down and a radio that doesn't work. Thought this was maybe a good platform for getting to know how to fix myself but not sure how to create a post about such, or if i am allowed to yet.

Good to hear you want to keep it going, you will find plenty of help in the “hippo “ section here

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/forum/land-rover-freelander.9/

To start a new thread for your problems button top right “post thread” and away you go.
Ensure you give plenty of details about the car, age, model and you will get plenty of hippo experts.
