Don't rent a 'normal' council garage. It won't fit! The only way my old S11 would go in was with the roof off.My immediate thought is 1. don't buy a RRC, or 2. move house to one with a garage. Or, do you have space and access to build a garage/store in a car tent to the rear of your garden?
Really, any classic Land/Range Rover is not the type of vehicle to keep on the street. Doing this will give you constant sleepless nights. Any classic on the street is not ideal...little protection, prone to knocks/scratches and a right pain in the arse to work on/repair.
Of course, you could rent a local garage/secure long term parking and just amortise this cost within overall cost of ownership.
Unfortunately, Council’s garages is the only choice here. They are rather small. ....I've heard some one getting out of the car throughout the sunroof .... never heard just push it and stick a brick. But is good to know.it might fit but will you get out of the motor once its in
or you do what i do with my classic car and just push it in and stick a brick in front of wheel

When i had my 1966 S-Type Jag, that would pass under the door, and i could get out, but there was still a foot of car sticking out...The issue i had wasn't the length of the garage but the height of the door opening. It wouldn't go in under the door with the hard top on.
