The few bits of chassis I can see in your photos look pretty good - hopefully this is an indicator for the rest of it. The oil leak doesn't look too bad, but the whole lower engine needs a good clean - there's a good layer of muck over everything that could hide a problem. I'd expect to need either a steering pump or a pipe, and maybe a diff seal.

I am guessing they are not huge or expensive jobs, and are to be expected on a 110? I think I am living on a different planet if I should expect not to find a few leaks or weeps?

Nothing should leak oil, BUT in the real world theres always going to be some oil escaping from somewhere, some vehicles dont leak oil at all but they rust instead!
I reckon most of that oil on the block is blow back from that pas leak smothered in dirt so looks worse than it really is.

Oil leaks come in a variety of panic modes
Sweating ie damp but no visible run marks = ignore.
Weeping ie wet slight evidence of frseh oil = dont panic but monitor, like the diff in your pic.
Leaking ie clear evidence of a leak with visible fresh oil like your pas hose = require attention asap.

Basically if its not dripping on the floor you can relax and get it repaired at your leisure, bearing in mind the only time leaks get better is when the oil has run out!

The more I think about it, the more I think I will say yes, as what I can see I think isn't too expensive and is achievable.

Still looking to hear peoples thoughts though and of course any hints or tips;)

I am thinking I am letting myself in for something that will gather momentum like a snowball running down a hill? I am a little nervous for some reason.

I was like that until I bit the bullet last year and got my 90 and not regretted it for one minute. Go for it - ya know ya want to!!!!

I agree with the layer of muck that could be hiding something, but if it passed the hammer test should be ok. Don't listen to me though, I'm a newbie and the learning curve is still very steep!!!

Yeah, I am sure it will be steep and long, with a few skinned knuckles, headaches and wallet emptying experiences along the way.

Looks pretty tidy looking on my pc. You've still got some budget left to get it how you want it. First on the list should be a tracker of some sort, personally I have good experience from Skytag.

Congrats....
