So as you all know, the high cap pickup doesnt usually come with rear arch extensions/spats. Well my one certainly hasnt got them, and I don't like it!! I've seen a much later defender in passing and that has them? Anyway, I know I can retrofit them, that's not my concern, but the question I have is what do I have to do with my rear wheels. I'm guessing of I don't bring them out it's gonna look kinda pap, so do I use spacers, or can I fit wider rear wheels/tyres?

I'm currently running Wolf wheels which I have no issue with. They need a spruce up, but I'm fine with that. I'm looking to replace the tyres anyway, so given my issue with the rear wheels/spats, what should I be going for?

They dont have them as they dont need them as the hi cap body is wider than the rest of the body . The axle loading on rear of 130 HCPU means that you cant just put any rim/tyre combo on . Personally I think they look even weirder with rear extensions as the two wheel tracks become different if you use spacers etc . Which would be another wrong way to do it JMHO

Well I have some rear arch spats on their way, along with a set of black modulars, with buckshot mudders. Will fit them all up when the truck is back from the docs and see how it looks. I'm concerned the spats will look like they're doing nothing, so may need to bring the wheels out a bit. We shall see! Once these are fitted I'll get shot of the wolf rims (should anyone be interested...)

I'd say he's got 265 tyres on the white one so he needed the arches on, standard tyres are 235 and just fit inside the body

My 90 has 265s on, they just fit inside the plastic arch extensions

Depending on where you are I could be interested on some wolf rims if tubeless

A concern already mentioned tho is most rims do not have the load rating I know the old modulars were certainly not up to the job. Wolf rims are surprisingly offset nearly as much as the 1 ton rims so I think you may have gone backwards with your new rims.

Try and see lots of diff offsets available but the more offset the weaker they become by design and a 130 can only be fitted with certain wheels because of the loadings officially
