Hi ppl , I have 18inch wheels on my Freelander, if I want to put chunkys on it what size of wheels and tyres should I go for , say I get a set of 16 inch wheels, what tyre size should I get to keep it the same as the 235/50/18 I have the now

No. "They will fit perfectly" according to Lewis at 4x4 tyres.co.uk although I will do some research before I purchase
Presumably the same Lewis that was spamming lz last week! :)
Lets hope his tyre advice is better than his spamming skills! :D

Thanks Hippo. There is a 23mm difference (bigger). Is this considered dangerous?
It will gear it up a little. Not sure is it's a problem. This is the size yer thinking of from the post above: 235/60R18. Not sure what we all agreed was the max size limit. It's on ere somewhere. Been discussed before.

OK thanks mate. Perhaps someone will re post the link to the max tyre limit :)......................dennis

235 60 18 would, I would guess, be to big for the Freelander. That's almost as large as the tyres fitted to my D3. When my D3 is parked next next to my mother in laws Freelander, the D3 tyres are taller than the Freelander arches!!
