Plenty of L322's going for around 5-6k, just look on't bay. The s/hand Rangie market has taken a real drop in the last 12 months.
Tis because the earlier L322's are getting to the point that the Gearbox failures are becoming more common as they reach the dreaded mileage - this has hit the s/h market for them hard as people try to offload a potential problem child...

Also with the release a few months back of the L405, the L322 prices will start to tumble now.....

P38's will start to go up as people realise they are the last practical DIY Range Rover:)

Taken from the web site;

Mike buys a clapped out old Land Rover Mk3 for the bargain price of £5k. But Why has Mike chosen such an ugly duckling? It’s been painted matt black with an electric blue bonnet and blue trim on the wheels and interior. But he’s got a plan: re-spray it white, pass it on to Edd to fix-up, then sell it on and double his money. Will the gamble work?

Isn't the 'Land Rover Mk3' a Discovery 3 in the US?

Mind you, Mike Brewer won't know the difference anyway.

Here you go guys: Wheeler Dealers 10: Range Rover

The official page for the episode on Tuesday

Looks good !

Although reading the write up I'm slightly confused...

They say its a 2006 TD6, but its got the chuckie (non facelift front) and the TD6 engine

A real 2006 model should have the facelift and the tdv6 engine fitted ?!?

Eitherway, in the episode they undertake a facelift conversion to it

Looks interesting I must say, wonder what the quality of work will be like lol

Facelift - yes

TDV6 was never fitted to the L322 - went TD6 to TDV8

Wheeler Dealers talking BS about the age, it's deffo a pre 2005 model L322.

Look at image 10 carefully on the website promo, it has a pre 2005 BMW satnav unit, not the Denso touchscreen system fitted to the 2005 update models which came out at the end of 2004 (54 reg models onwards). Also there's no GPS/aerial bump on the back of the roof.

That's why they got it for 5k!!

without the GPS antenna then surely it doesn't have the satnav, seems like the screen has been retrofitted

GPS had no external antenna on the early cars I believe, certainly do not recall one on my mates L322 nor was there one on P38's:)

The roof antenna came in on the 2005 update, when they went to the denso satnav. It's the easiest way to tell whether the L322 has the BMW or Denso system. I think it has something to do with going to the fibre optic system? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyhoo, wonder if Wheeler Dealers advertised it as a 2006 model, they could be done under the Trades Description Act!!

i must say i have seen a lot of early 2002-2003 models with the GPS antenna on the roof.

i thought they had always been like that

IMO this pic of Del & Rodney says everything about the man on the left "you dipstick Mike" Would you buy a car from him ?
But can't wait to see the efforts of Edd :D
