I've got a stripped thread on a wheel stud. Is it possible the replace the stud or do you have to replace the whole hub and bearing?

Should be possible to do in-situ,, so long as there is room to allow the stud to be hammered inwards (stud has approx. 12mm of splines under the head that grip into hub)...new one is fitted with some sort of spacer and a wheel nut, ideally locating nicely onto the the old spline grooves when drawn through by tightening the nut and counter holding the hub.

Thanks that is good to know
As long as They are available, I had to buy a complete hub for the XJR after a knob at ATS used the air gun on the security nut and fecked it.had to grind the head of the nut off then drill through the stud yo get the wheel off. They did say leave the car and we'll sort it, not a fecking chance . They paid for the parts.
