So I've been chasing out my heating problems and came across this wiring issue. At some point in the past the blower wiring has been "modified" and I'd like to put it back to how it should be.
What I don't know is what this connector is called and how it is supposed to be wired up. As you can see on the pic one half has been filled up with a black mastic and wrapped in electricians tape.

If these colours match it may be connector C0056? That is assuming the blower motor has a flylead coming off it

Thanks, having looked up the part number you quoted I'd say that you are right.. I'll try and buy one and put it right.
 
Managed to salvage the connector, clearing out the mastic and doing a bit of an interim connection on the wiring.(my soldering was so shocking I had to resort to a crimped connector)
I've tightened up the connector since I took the picture so its now properly closed up..
however the Heater now blowing but at one speed regardless of what setting the slider is in.
