Windscreen wipers....why are they still so useless when the car is designed to be driven in poor weather and through rivers?

But if you go through a deep enough river it'll wash your window's for you;)

The sponges they stuck between steel and ally panels to "stop" corrosion....fookin eedjuts.

Get rid of the computers and get back to easily maintainable in the field manual systems. Galvanised chassis and bilkhead as already said, and a decent snorkel as standard.

I think the only thing i'd change is having a clock, feels weird with one not there.

Probably a bit more shoulder room, fit axle lockers as standard as per Japanese rivals, and if we're talking about current 'fenders, get rid of the TDCi, and go back to a 'Tdi-esque' motor without computers or electronics.

the price £20k for an unreliable noisy fooking heap is taking the **** would bring 2nd hand prices down an all if they were priced at their true worth about £12k.. :D

I reckon the 'fender needs the option of 2 or 3 different diesel lump/gearbox combinations of varying size and power. For example I think it should have a big, simple 3.5 or 4.0 litre turbo diesel engine as an option, along with a suitably strong gearbox and running gear, and then a 3.0 turbo diesel, and then the standard 2.5 turbo diesel.

There is ONE thing that has started to annoy me and somehow i wish it was changed with the Defender.

I keep snagging my belt loop on my jeans on the damn door lock mechanism when getting in....
