Still need to drop in the donor engine after the timing chain snapped!
Need to get it out of the omega first though :(
Just never get the time these days!!

thrown away the stupid aftermarket air filter fitted the proper one (complete box ) and mounted the air dryer instead of it lying there cable tied to the inner wing. fitted the charging relay for the caravan with the 12s socket been a run runs a dream on gas no flat spots its cured a lot of probs next job next week the lamba sensors to cur the petrol running rough well happy

Hmm mines doing the same. Is this a tricky job?

No, with key out of ignition depressurise system by pressing brake pedal thirty or so times. Unscrew old unit screw on new one. Switch ignition on check for leaks. When pump stops top up fluid if needed. Job done.

Thanks. So what "fails" on these units to cause the issue? Just curious!

The accumulator contains a precharge of Nitrogen gas to a certain pressure (80bar/1160psi) and over time this precharge dissipates and the accumulator assistance to boost the hydraulic pressure reduces meaning the boost pump has to run more often, this extended duty of the pump can lead it to fail prematurely.

The way to change it is to ensure ignition is OFF, depress the brake 30 times, wait 60 seconds then do 4 more full pedal depressions and this will make sure the brake system is depressurised fully.

Then spin off the accumulator catching any fluid loss, then replace with new, NEVER PIERCE THE ACCUMULATOR. Then Bleed to braking system TO THE LETTER as in RAVE.

No need to bleed system Ant.

Today I repaired the glove box as the rear clip had come out, next 1 is a full air bag refit. That's about 5 hours to do. Just waiting for them to come from Island 4x4.

Absolutely nothing, both completely A-Ok (for the moment) apart from the front dange rover decal is slightly faded, but have the replacement ones in hand anyway.

Both are completely OEM (apart from the sport wheels on both) and fully functioning., not even a handbook display on the HEVAC.

Now i've said that, something will take a dump !

My next task is to try and take out the sun shade because the liner has come lose and needs sticking back, just go to figger out how to do that.

Check Trans box fluid, grease props, check front diff fluid (done rear). Air filter and plugs. Should do it for now. Ohh do a major clean out inside then treat her to a wash.
Recent work: Rear Arnotts (already done fronts). New Doge shocks, new drag link and steering damper. New roll bar rubbers.

Got the air suspension repair kit delivered this morning. I was fitting new rear bags last month, but a heart attack scuppered that idea. I'm going to supervise my son to fit the air bags for me :D
Still to do;
Bonnet catch cable
Thermostat
