3.5 is the safest. Then you just need to arp the heads and add nitrous to make up the defecit :)

A LR mechanic mate stroked his to 4.3 (think the parts came from 'Real Steel') it pulled like a train but he gave it too much stick when towing & blew the A pack on the ZF :eek:
 
gems..bigger as mentioned crank and more main bolts..better oil pump.(i think)..ie my 4.6..gems engine NEVER drops below 45psi..maxs out at 55..
