You know that bit where a supermarket closes for a month for refurb........ everyone who used it gets forced to shop somewhere else and gets their eyes opened to the other shops they hadn't used......
The original supermarket re-opens and folk don't come back....

I was always on several forums and will be back especially if the historic stuff is still available. [AKA "Serious Series" on Landrovernet]

people need to donate to support it at one time when you donated it showed up in your profile when that did not happen I along wih others ceased to donate.

I agree about the donations, and to be honest I would do the same.

It's maybe because I stopped doing the emails etc, and nobody else bothered taking it on. Those automated replies saying thank you? Not automated. That was me. Along with adding the donors badges etc. Hey ho..:) To be honest there was more funds generated by the link checking software (can't remember what its called) every month than donations, but donations were always very gratefully received.

Regarding the photo uploader, I had no involvement with the software updates. Other than doing the colour scheme, and there was enough complaints about that too :)

not very altruistic requiring recognition for donating anyway !
all i wanted was to see a moderation queue. every time a new person posts a thread it doesnt show up, has a little exclamation next to it. people used to make 3 or 4 posts because the first one didnt show up and the only way i could see that was literally visiting all subforums

If you went to your user cp as a mod, there was a section in there that showed a list of all posts awaiting moderation. Or maybe that was just my cp, I dunno...but I seem to remember it being there when I was a moderator, some 15 years ago! (sheesh...don't time fly?) It was certainly in the admin user cp. Again, software, maybes I didn't turn it on for you? F'kiffeyeknow.
When I used to log in, that was the first section I went to, get that out the way, then the emails, then deal with any members issues, then maybe if I had time, actually use the forum!
