I have got straight on but not looked to see how much is still available yet.
My post all the way back to 2008 are there and my albums
 
i can see the entire forum, as it was left in august when domain expired, plus todays new posts.

so that means it all still exists, but i dont know why people cant see it
 
Maybe you have greater access because you were a MOD. I can only see todays posts and stickies. Great to be back though and bog thanks to our mysterious benefactor.

Same here today's posts and stickies.
My photo album is still there. :)
I wonder who the mysterious benefactor is and if we will ever know.;)
 
Well I see the domain has been renewed for 1 year. Curiously I've had a couple of emails notifying of replies to threads some time ago (one back into last year).
But, I was only seeing the stickies and nothing else. Scroll down to near the bottom and under Thread Display Options, I found it set to only show threads from the last month - and since it's been offline for over a month, there would only be the stickies. Changed that and I now see old threads.
Perhaps that setting was stored in a cookie and the cookie got deleted ? Either that, or some user settings got corrupted/changed.
 
Good show Simon. Just tried that myself and set it to show threads from last 100 days and now have it all back. If anyone else tries it, just remember to hit save changes at the bottom of the settings page once youve changed it

. mine was set to forum default by the way, before I changed it.

Thanks for that i didn't think of checking the tab that was set to only show threads from the last month.
Now i have all the previous discussions showing. :)

nicely spotted ! and now you mention and describe it perfectly there is actually a global setting for this in your personal settings > general settings called "default thread cutoff age"
 
It's always sad to hear of a forum going down and I've not minded at all folk trying to sort out how to get it up and running again...and well done for doing so.

I'd hope you've all felt welcome here and if you're happier there that's fair enough.

BUT

Now it's up and running discussing how best to use another forum here on LZ instead of there is really starting to feel disrespectful and spammy.

I hope it works out, I believe there's plenty of room for us both even though we share the same target members and many are members of both but you won't ever find me there explaining how to get the best out of LZ.




And only in part cuz I wuz banned :D:p:p

Sorry if you feel we've been disrespectful, I am certain that was not intended. The thing is all our friends suddenly disappeared over night and this place gave us a chance to communicate again and try to find out what happened. Now it seems our old forum is back up again but until it is certain we have to talk via Landyzone. I hope you will be patient while we sort ourselves out.

As to us all disappearing from Landyzone: I can't speak for anybody else but I'll be sticking around if only to see what you loonies do next...
