Ive been trying to get hold of Storey Wilson now since 27th October regards my version of the EAS software that he supplied. Last used in 2023, went to use in October 2024 and got the IP Error Message. Sent the debug file to Storey and he replied saying that due to the way windows now operates with security etc, there has been an update to the software.

He sent me a link to the EASunlock_UpdateFix.exe

Downloaded file. Double Click to run, nothing seems to happen, software isn’t updated. Tried running as Administrator, still nothing seems to happen, as in the update program doesn't start or request admin access.

Unzipping the file that's in the EASunlock_UpdateFix.exe produces a file called wyUpdate which when run, give a dialogue box 'An Error Occurred' stating that it couldn't find the file iuclient.iuc

I emailed Storey about this, he asked what version of Windows I was running, told him Windows 11 with all the latest updates etc and I've heard nothing since. Sent a few emails off to him, all of which have been accepted by his email provider.

Anyone know whats happened to Storey and has anyone else had the same problem wit the EASunlock_UpdateFix.exe and have you managed to get it to update the program and make it functional?

I have a few projects that I will need to use the EAS Unlock Software for and desperate to get it running again as it;s a paid for software and I've purchased the License.

Buy a cheap second hand Win 10 laptop

Thanks Datatek, not quite the answer I was looking for, especially as his website states:

The EASunlock tool, requires the use of a Windows PC; Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11

As I said, it worked perfectly on the same windows 11 laptop back in September/October 2023 as I have the logs for it.

Good luck getting it sorted, Windows updates often seem to cause a problem. Until recently I had an old laptop that I never connected to the internet for just that reason. sadly it has died and so far I have not managed to resurrect it.

Windows updates are constantly trashing stuff.

I seem to recall having to fiddle the baud rate to get one of Storey's applications working.

Well, following Datatek's response I have fired up an old laptop and done a fresh install of Windows 10. deactivated my license from my windows 11 machine and activated it on the windows 10 machine.

Still have the same IP issue. The only link I have to download the software takes it to version 4.0.0.16 and won't download a later version (The version on my Windows laptop is 4.0.0.35) Keeps telling me that it needs to be updated but doesn't let me.

The EASunlock_UpdateFix.exe doesn't fix the IP error either.

Its frustrating for sure.
