Just started doing inside the chassis today with the engine oil/white spirit. The flexible extension for the spray gun is the business. It sprays out a fine jet about 6 different ways so has done a brilliant job coating all round the inside of the chassis.

Its also brilliant for getting to the hard to reach areas on the underside of the car. Highly recommended.

Once all this dries I'll be going mad with the Waxoyl.

Cheers

Andy

do u coat everything in waxoyl etc, such as gearbox, prop shafts, gearbox, ACE pipes ACE block etc or just stick to chassis???

I do mine with black waxoil and used engine oil mixed for spraying into sills, inside chassis and hard to get at bits and spray straight waxoil on everything I can get to. Old plastic sheeting is a good idea around the exhaust unless you like the smell of hot smoking waxoil for a week or so. dont do the gearbox or other such parts just stick to the body shell and chassis then take the bottle of washing up liquid upto the bathroom to help get yourself clean after :)

when u say body panels, do you actually spray the outside of the car with it (clear one). This might sound like a stupid question, but our deepender at work suffered really badly from the panels getting chipped from grit then starting rusting. Looking like it had a disease!!!

to be honest i dont know, its a 55 plate TD5 110, left hand drive. Its white as well so when it looks like it has freckles all over it, from sills to windows. Hence why i asked if you could spray waxoyl on the panels, to act as like a car wax/polish, and maybe stop the rust?
