I've just sold my RR Vouge TD6 2003, and bought a 2005 RR Vouge SE Autobiography TD6. But what is the difference?? The dealer I'm getting it from didnt know? Its a Vouge SE so it has rear screens etc but what else do I get or have I just bought a badge lol??

I know its top of the range but whats the difference between that and my old Vouge? So in other words when it was ordered new what were the things that made the top of the range and how can it be identified from a standard vouge?

They had many more options available when new, if you need then I'm sure your dealer can fish out the spec sheet, it should still be hanging around, but unless it was specified with options, trim or colours/engine choice etc that were not available on other models then you have yes only purchased a badge

The original idea was that you had the normal range of options and then Land Rover special vehicles department would offer to do even more, almost limitless, extras. Then Land Rover offered an Autobiography version on top of the normal with some fixed extras. However, as you can buy Autobiography badges there are a lot of Rangies running around claiming to be Autobiographies. If you realy want to know contact Land Rover special vehicles, or even just the Land Rover fctory, with your VIN number and see what they say.,

Climate control heated windscreen, privacy glass, venturecam, wood trim, different metallic/pearl effect paint colours, 4 zone climate control, park heating with remote, heated steering wheel, luggage net, ski bag, first aid kit, tyre pressure monitoring system, warning triangle were the available options. The standard kit is shown on Land Rover Range Rover - 4.2 V8 Supercharged AUTOBIOGRAPHY 4d Auto - Equipment & Options - Parker's, you'd need to also look up the Vogue equipment and put the 2 lists side-by-side to see how they differ.

whilst we're on the subject of model ranges what's the difference between an hse and a vogue p38
I am new to the RR ownership world, I have recently bought a 1998 hse and a 2000 vogue the only difference I can see is the vogue badge on the back and a burl walnut rear ash tray and burl walnut surround on the upper centre console switch row
is my 2000 a real vogue or has some one just bought a badge

Basicly every Autobiography will be different as the program was first stated with the P38's (although there were some 100 inch Classics produced), the idea was you went into a dealer and specified how you wanted the car built right from body colour, wheels, inside trim, type off leather, carpets, wood capings ,sat nav etc etc they would then build it for you.
All genuine Classic & P38 Autobiography's should have a land rover special vehicles plate on the slam panel stating the build date and build number as for the newer L322's I am not sure.

HSE & Vogue differ, the HSE, was a lower spec than the Vogue models, mostly differ in the interior an badge, again the extras list was longer and nicer

You will find one of these badges on the slam panel, this ensures the vehicle you have is a genuine autobiography !!

All of the items in bold and metallic paint, are on my Vogue, so not special to Autobiography extras.

It is a book of the author's own life experiences!!
+1 true it is a personal vehicle,a autobiography could be as simple as a upgraded steering wheel or handbrake lever and its still a genuine autobiography.all carry a special vehicles vin plate so does a vogue 50.
my old vogue 50& my old autobiography

Basicly the autobiography is a custom build
You can have a high spec or a low spec depending on how much you want to spend (most were very high spec)

just noticed my autobiography was built 29.11.97 contract n0 11029
my vogue 50 was built 20.6.98 contract no 11328
so around 300 special vehicles are built every 6 months on average
