Not quite one I've bought but looking around a car at the scrappy I opened the back door and there was a neatly coiled **** on the seat
 
found a Seiko kinetic watch in a Cortina when I was 17, was better than the one I had, so swapped them and wore it for years, god i'm such a pikey, I still haven't forgiven myself...
 
I know someone who brought a range rover classic,
When stripping it down found a sawn of shot gun in the door card.
Ovb went in a police finger print bag, after being picked and messed about with lol
 
half a pkt of fruit pastilles. tasted all right after I'd picked all the dog hairs and fluff off them.. :D
 
Never found a weapon or anything.. only a pack of mints and some electrical tape under the center box in the 90... some how i dont think it trumps any of that lot :(

I reckon your mints and my pastilles are a bit more believable than that someone hid a shotgun behind a door card and then "Forgot" it was there???

to be fair pikey there was a guy in news this week bought a house whilst doing work found a hidden panel behind it guns and ammo. police found another pannel with guns behind it as well.
 
I worked for a well known car auction company and they had a load of the old British electric vans in for sale and i found an amp meter .
But i did hear of a guy buying a ex army bedford four tonner from a military auction site sold as seen. It was the cargo body type with the canvas back all closed and tied up tight. He got home and opened the back up and it had 6 harley davidson off road bikes in the back brand new. I'm not sure if its a true story but others have heard similar .

heard the same 20 years ago , wasn't harleys but armstrongs , heard it was sold /picked up from westbury area
 
Bought a car and for days I couldn't work out what this beeping was and it turned out previous owner had left the cordless phone from there house in their! Land rover I found a torch loads of change some rust lol,
 
Ex had a clamping company did government work and police compound stuff that all went to auction or got broken. She gave me a civic said it was a drug dealers car and that there was an "aroma".

Searched through it in usual places, nothing but I could smell weed. Took door cards off and there were several bags of weed. Didn't think there would be more. Handed it in and police tool the car back.

There was thousands in a hidden compartment accessed by taking whole centre console off. Gutted.

Apparently ex found a plastic bag with a finger in it once :/
