And?
why start a thread on the freelander section just to slag them off ?????? don't make sense to me !!!!!
I don't own a rusty windy old tratter with no heating or brakes.
That is something at least. Disco's is reasonably civilised eh what.
Perfect balance of on and offroad. Rangie is too soft, freelander is poor mans rangie, tratters just too rough! Series are a classic vehicle I would love to have as a weekend toy. So that just leaves the amazing discovery no brainer really
I had a friend who owed a disc and he had no brains either, must be an affliction that runs in the disco familyPerfect balance of on and offroad. Disco's are fallible off road and horrid on it!! I've had to rescue a friend from the same easy off road track twice in the same morning! My V6 plodding through the mud no bother but what happens to his TD5? It gets stuck sitting on it's diff cases with it's wheels spinning. What tows him out? the so called hairdressers car then to add insult to injury on the way back to mine, I get board of watching the back of his roly poly TD5 through the bends so I blast past and away with the Freelander V6's far superior power and handling!! Freelander 2 Disco TD5 nil

I seem to recall birds going nuts for a fella with similar inclanations .
Well, tis not a runner - bought it to break. Sat on my drive falling to bits slowly. Sorta slipped my mind I guess .
Oh and Diesel Do owns 50% of it!! So I'm only half a murderer-wagon owner!

Cos freelanders can't go off road of course! Mines got more ground clearance than my D2
maybe in your dreams ,ace system makes td5 handle well
With the V6 and auto box combination you don't really need low range, you just push the throttle and it and it goes.Mine has embarrassed several discos. Partly due to drivers. But freelanders are more competent than people realise, they do miss low range but only occasionally. You just have to hit things harder
