Hi all,
Really stuck at the moment my 90 currently has a 2.5 petrol and apart from its thirst I don't really have any issues other than it may be a bit lacking for some of the local hills. Recently it broke down and the coil shorted out, AA man reckoned it was the diff so I replaced it and consequently as I was rushing it the timing out. Now my fear for breaking down is getting to me again.
The bloke I got it from text me the other day and said he has a 300tdi disco engine he bought to recon and have as a spare, he's never heard it run so would need a service at least and hope for the best at the time of turning the key, said he wants £250. I really want to go down the TDi road for the extra efficiency (barely 20mpg with my petrol) and of course black smoke and turbo whistle
Shall I take up his offer of the 300, wait and buy a knackered old 200 disco which apparently migrated Devon long ago, or just fix my little petrol?
Sorry for whining a bit just feel as though I would have been better off with a V8 for fun factor and economy at the minute.
Cheers for any replies in advance.
